introduction to educational freedom podcast
College serves as a finishing school that protects our country by educating its people. Unfortunately, this effort has been corrupted by money and greed.
PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS PODCAST
We have been sold on going to college to pursue the American Dream. The American Dream brings happiness from a beautiful life. The American Dream includes inflation-proof and recession-proof financial security. Like-minded people attend college with us. But now college can strip us of financial dignity for life.
105 Reasons to Avoid Student Loans podcast
From the darkness in which the student loan program is run (no transparency on tuition hikes or for loan collection practices) to the lack of Constitutional protections and attorneys who know student loan law, America's safety is at stake. We need our doctors, dentists and psychiatrists educated, at least. And we need college funding that does not put our national markets in jeopardy.
OBVIOUS SOLUTIONS PODCAST
The student loan program must be returned to the free market. Constitutional protections ensure that financial products do not threaten the economy. Profiteers must be fully policed and not just self-policed.
IS THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION TRUSTWORTHY? - PODCAST
The Department of Education controls our pursuit of happiness through student loan educational funding. Lender excessiveness killed the pursuit of happiness. Meanwhile, Blacks have the most student loan debt.
STUDENT LOAN RED FLAGS PODCAST
Borrowers must monitor student loan profiteers, especially the loan servicers. Borrowers must report clues that reveal things are out of place. The authorities cannot fix what they do not know about. Borrowers must document and complain early because courts take a long time to resolve the rampant fraud, waste and abuse that infects the student loan program. Early complaints clue watchdogs about theft strategies shared by the profiteers. The tiny pool of student loan borrower advocates can grow with enough evidence of things out of place collected.
INTERVENTIONS FOR COLLEGE ACCESS AND COMPLETION PODCAST
This podcast covers the Brookings Institution report on college access and completion encouragement that we've tried (multigenerational workarounds), and the reasons for the failures. Twenty years of interventions have not shown sufficient success. No slam dunk solution has been found. Removing barriers and simplifying procedures should be the next step. This is challenging because government and schools (the profiteers) have to change and act. The profiteers are not giving families enough sustenance for access and completion [gamesmanship].
Refusing to pay your student loan to protest is very risky. Because of loan servicers’ automated collection practices and untrustworthy unlawful computer overrides, refusing to make payments on student loans could possibly lead all the way to losing your house or your car after a judgment against you. Bankruptcy laws changed to prevent a protest. So now, traditional methods of protest have been ignored because they don't directly hold back profits. Forms of protest must be combined, creative, new, unanticipated and simultaneous--before AI creates an even greater hurdle to protesting for educational freedom.
